CCS Gr 2 Pumpkin Day
The second graders had a great time counting the pumpkin seeds from a large pumpkin. The students first estimated the total amount of seeds and then actually counted them. The second graders were divided into five separate groups. Each group counted a scoop of seeds. The students first organized the seeds into groups of fives and counted them. Next, they counted them by tens. Our pumpkin seed grand total came to 676 seeds which was WAY more than we had expected! It was a fun day! A special thank you to the moms who came to help us!
