Walk-a-thon
Our annual fundraiser, the Walk-a-thon, is a fun family event!
The format of the day includes a walk in the morning followed by lunch for the students, staff, and volunteers. The afternoon is a time for fun and fellowship as the students enjoy games at a carnival run by our parent and high school volunteers. Our middle and high school students serve as buddies for the Kindergarten through 3rd grade students during the lunch and carnival.
Cornerstone Christian School strives to maintain a tuition rate that is reasonable for our community and our school has chosen to eliminate small fundraisers (such as magazine, cookie dough, and wrapping paper sales) and instead participate in one large, all-school fundraising event.
This annual Walk-a-thon, which began in May 2003, has proven to be a successful way for our school to raise the funds necessary to bridge the gap between tuition and the cost of educating our students. We give God all the glory in our success because as Philippians 4:13 states, “We can do all things through Him who gives us strength.” Every year, we are blessed with enthusiastic parents (and grandparents) who tirelessly give of their time and talents, a supportive school staff that encourages our parents and students, as well as the generous donors who share their financial offerings with our school. In fact, some of our benefactors have been faithful givers since the beginning.
We appreciate your willingness to support our school with your financial gift and your prayers. It is indeed a blessing for our entire school community.
